Remember when I said that non-profit hospitals didn’t become greedy SOB’s when they converted to for-profit status. And, that their care was pretty good- despite their change in motivation. I also said that most dialysis centers seemed to be of the same mental state.

I can’t believe it. I’ve been posting my blogs at this location since June 2010. Yes, I have posted blogs in 2008, 2009, and earlier in 2010. But, those weren’t on my own site.
How to get to Sesame Street… and Why!
“Daddy, how can I tell which balloons are red and which are yellow?”

It’s Time for Regulatory Action
I admit it. I hardly travel nowadays. Oh, don’t get too excited. Which is why some Wake Forest researchers are seeking ways to skirt the political bugaboos regarding stem cells – and still trying to increase the availability of kidneys for those in need.
More on cancer
Yesterday, we spoke about two new approaches to cancer therapy. Today, we’ll consider other aspects of these new treatments. No. We really aren’t. Because yesterday, we spoke about new tools in our arsenal against cancer. What we are really going to talk about today is a paradigm shift, something that is sometimes termed ‘precision medicine’.
New Tools Against Cancer
Genetic engineering? Immunotherapy? These are terms often mentioned in the news, but we don’t totally grasp their significance- especially for cancer victims.
Big Rigs 2
Yesterday, we discussed all these new apps that are supposed to make our long-haul drivers’ lives better and easier. But, there are plenty of clouds on the horizon. As I’ve written before, those driverless cars sound pretty good- until you consider what it means for taxi drivers. That same thing applies to driverless trucks.
