From GW to the Waterfront…

Wow.  In the past few days, we baby boomers have lost some iconic figures.  Glen Frey.  David Bowie.  All folks whose music I enjoyed profusely.  Of course, Alan Rickman- a non-musician- died almost simultaneously to those two.   And, today, Maurice White (of Earth, Wind, and Fire) succumbed to his Parkinson’s Disease.

Pure as Driven Snow?

Remember that beautiful snow that blanketed the East Coast in mid January? It sure did look pretty, stoked up on the cars, trees, and roads. Of course, it also meant we had to shovel…big time! Because, as I know from living in Massachusetts and Michigan, 24 to 36 inches of snow takes weeks to disappear, even if the temperature hits 60, as it has lately.

I’ve written about Bob Langer before.  (This is one of my more recent mentions.) He’s one of the smartest guys I’ve ever known and has been involved in the development of a slew of radically different products.  He’s also one of the founders of Pure Tech.  (He is not an employee there- he stays associated with MIT, where he guides the next generation of prolific inventors to help make this world great.)
