Who am I?

I am  a polymath, whose interests span chemical engineering, medicine, biotechnology, business, management, among other areas. Among my inventions/developments: dialyzer, dialysate, neurosurgical drill, respiratory inspirometer, colon electrolyte lavages, urinary catheters, cardiac catheters, water reuse systems, drinking water system, ammonia degrading microbes, toxic chemical reduction via microbes, onsite waste water treatment, electronic health care information systems, bookkeeping and accounting programs, among others.  It should not surprise you, then, that these are the items about which I write.

I have three wonderful kids, a son-in-law, a grandchild, and a special friend.  You will hear about them on occasion, since they teach me as much as I teach them!  You can find out more about me on the bottom half of this post:  http://http:/www.adjuvancy.com/wordpress/i-promise-i-did-not-bribe-hajra/

I post…

I post Monday through Friday, generally.  I don’t post on Jewish holidays.  Generally, I will post about leadership, business and management at least once a week (sometimes, all five days).  I can’t tell how often I will post items in the science and technology arena, because I can’t predict when and if development occur.  If only I were able to do so!

I try to keep my politics and religion OUT of this blog.  (My outlook is my outlook- that stays!)

You..

Your comments are desired and appreciated.  Really!

I also really want you to subscribe.  I have made it very easy- there’s a signup on the prime page on the upper right.  You will received my posts as soon as the internet delivery affords, whenever I post (typically in the early morning).

If you wish to entertain a conversation with me (I invite these), a direct eMail is best.  When (I don’t want it to be “if”) you comment here (or on any blog page), I WILL respond (sometimes, only in private).  That’s a a start of our conversation.  Where it ends- who knows?

You want to reach ME?

My eMail is Ackerman At Adjuvancy Dot Com.   I have several twitter accounts, because of my varied interests.  For fun stuff, I use AckermanRoy.  For more serious matters (this includes my beloved Phillies- and, no, I never lived in Philadelphia), you can reach me at RAAckerman.  For professional interests, I use the corporate Adjuvancy.  I monitor my twitter, but am not wedded to it.

On Facebook, we can have our conversations here:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Adjuvancy-LLC/132566953427606.  Please LIKE this page.  Then, I can make it easier for you to find me, since this ridiculous link will become shorter!

Disclaimer  (come on, you knew there would be one somewhere!)

This is my personal blog, and while I DO try to keep my religion and politics off this site,my outlook is undeniable.   The opinions that I express here do not necessarily represent those of my employer, The Adjuvancy, LLC. The information I provide is clearly researched and I provide full citations, as often as I can.  However, the applicability for YOUR personal use cannot be guaranteed. Your site struck my interest…adjuvancy….the word adjuvant is a word I hate, as I always had problems pronouncing it. As an ex-behavioral research scientist in cancer control it seemed to pop up all the time!! LOL. Ironically my system spellchecker system redlines it. Are you using that title as a triage system…if you don’t know what it means stay out of my blog? LOL. Anyway, your background is fascinating. A quick “dummy” question. I noticed when you mouse-over you name, a spry box pops up with your name, avatar and …”add as friend.” Is this a Facebook feature or did you build it?

Debbie Thanks, Debbie. You are close- we chose our name so that folks would say- What the HECK??? And, then, we have the opportunity to explain what and why we do what we do….It’s better than a catalyst :-) Have a great day (read you next comment, so I skipped the query which you self-serviced….)

Wonderful video, Roy, and I’m totally enamored with everything you’ve had the privilege and joy of working on. You’re truly amazing. We need at least a few more dedicated professionals, researchers, and inventors like you in this world.

  5. Hi, Roy!
I just received a link to your blog…I cannot wait to spend a great deal of time (which is what I will need) taking it in. I wanted to respond to your bio so I could tell you that I know a FABULOUS patent attorney (my husband :-) if you need help with those inventions!

    Looking forward to your site!
