Let the Art Shine In…

My house is replete with art. Mostly paintings, but sculpture and crafts are also present. My dining room affords one with the beauty to augment the conversation and tasty morsels with which I- and my guests- enjoy the evening.

One of the pieces nearby was painted by someone I met while blogging. Lisa Brandel. I’ve written about one of her pieces before. But, today, I am alerting you to her current offerings.  (No, she did not ask me to do so.  This was my own idea.)

Much of what Lisa paints has dual purposes. The first is to afford herself income. (D-uh!) The second is to advance the causes that provide the other passions in her life- cancer survivors, her community, and just to “ambush folks with wonderful art” (if you are not on Facebook, where it is often publicized, this is a universal site).

So, it is with great pleasure I am sharing Lisa’s “Spring Cleaning” sale. If it were me, I would have held sale this a month ago- when I was cleaning my house (and my life) of all those things that were “chametz”, leavened foods and thoughts that have had plenty of time to gestate and now need removal to “speed up” my life. But, anytime is a great time for cleaning out- and finding/developing room to start something new.

So, check out her site (or her primary site linked above) – and pick something to brighten your life this Spring. Your brain and your attitude will thank you daily for the additions to your walls…

  1. WOW Roy! Thank you!! I’m so honored to be included not once, but twice among your wonderful blog. The spring clean is important to me…the money is nice, but more importantly it is a symbol of moving from the old into the new. My style has grown, my skill has increased, and it’s time to begin again. Chametz be gone! Thank you so much, truly!

    1. Thank you Carolina! That means a lot to me. This is some of my earlier work, and I always question myself. <3 Thank you for leaving your comment!
