My house is replete with art. Mostly paintings, but sculpture and crafts are also present. My dining room affords one with the beauty to augment the conversation and tasty morsels with which I- and my guests- enjoy the evening.
One of the pieces nearby was painted by someone I met while blogging. Lisa Brandel. I’ve written about one of her pieces before. But, today, I am alerting you to her current offerings. (No, she did not ask me to do so. This was my own idea.)
Much of what Lisa paints has dual purposes. The first is to afford herself income. (D-uh!) The second is to advance the causes that provide the other passions in her life- cancer survivors, her community, and just to “ambush folks with wonderful art” (if you are not on Facebook, where it is often publicized, this is a universal site).
So, it is with great pleasure I am sharing Lisa’s “Spring Cleaning” sale. If it were me, I would have held sale this a month ago- when I was cleaning my house (and my life) of all those things that were “chametz”, leavened foods and thoughts that have had plenty of time to gestate and now need removal to “speed up” my life. But, anytime is a great time for cleaning out- and finding/developing room to start something new.
So, check out her site (or her primary site linked above) – and pick something to brighten your life this Spring. Your brain and your attitude will thank you daily for the additions to your walls…
It’s fun to learn that you are into art Roy. And enjoy seeing your friends work. Thanks for sharing.
WOW Roy! Thank you!! I’m so honored to be included not once, but twice among your wonderful blog. The spring clean is important to me…the money is nice, but more importantly it is a symbol of moving from the old into the new. My style has grown, my skill has increased, and it’s time to begin again. Chametz be gone! Thank you so much, truly!
Glad to oblige, Lisa…
I figured other folks would enjoy art to brighten their day or the eve- or both!
What you have shared is indeed very interesting, and in a way reminds me of the Salvador Dali in my small collection. I do enjoy it very much
Ah, yes, Salvador Dali… He has the honored position in my home, as well.
some interesting stuff there Roy! I LOVE the idea of ambushing folks with wonderful art!!
Cheers, Gordon
Me, too, Gordon. As long as I don’t have to be the artist providing the canvas!
Interesting images. I especially like the Star of David inlay and the orange dude.
I will let Lisa know! Those are all her creations, Alessa.
Thanks for the visit and the comment.
Thank you Carolina! That means a lot to me. This is some of my earlier work, and I always question myself. <3 Thank you for leaving your comment!

Do you clean artwork as well as the rest of the house?
