So quick…

Seder.  It means order.   Where we progress from page 42 to 262 in our Hagada.  (No, we don’t skip pages- the first 41 or so pages cover the laws of the Pesach, as well as the blessings and laws for the searching of any left-over chametz in one’s possession, before the holiday begins.)

The Seder is really our opportunity to examine what matters in our lives.  What this delivery of freedom means to us as a people- and to us as individuals.  The Seder is also our opportunity to spend time with our family- and our friends.

In our case, our whole family couldn’t make it.  My youngest is deeply ensconced in the NCAA’s (Go Blue!).  For their first visit to the Sweet 16 in 19 years.  (Since we did not know where they would play or when, we could not arrange for transportation.)  So, he spent his Sdarim with his schoolmates.  And, for the first time, was responsible for his own complete Pesach cleaning.

My eldest, her husband, and my grandson came down from Philly.  And, spent three glorious days with us.  It’s been too long (one day actually qualifies) that a little boy (or girl) runs around the house squealing with delight.  (I should warn you- the other adults in this house were squealing with delight at his antics, in return.)

My middle child just returned with her fiancé from a worldwide trip.  One which brought new perspectives to her life.   Between this wonderful experience and her impending marriage, a wonderful new chapter is evolving for her life.  And, we had the honor of her presence, as well.

So, what could be wrong with this holiday (other than missing my youngest)?  Friends, family, good food, great learning, and our first White Pesach… who’d a thunk it?

No matter what your holiday- be it Pesach that ends this coming Monday (or Tuesday) night- or Easter- or whatever Spring manifestation your life enjoys… May your prayers be answered and may your experiences be grand.

    1. I am always amazed how little blessing add up. No, I don’t have the biggest house or the most money (far from both of them)- but my house- the children and grandchildren that are part of my legacy- leaves me breathless.
Thanks for the comment and visit, Ann.
