Uh-oh. We thought it was bad enough that criminals could hack into our cars and planes. We knew that these computers we love to play while we drive or fly had downsides. But, we forgot to account for the fact that our car alarms and ignition devices are also controlled by these electronic units.

It’s not hot air
I generally ride my bike every morning. Sometimes I ride it in the afternoons, too.
But, since the end of Pesach, it has rained so much and so long that my bike riding has been pretty much missing from my daily activity logs. As a matter of fact, one night when I was returning from a business trip to Baltimore, the Rock Creek Parkway was underwater (that was announced on the radio), as was the road I was on (instead). Brand Loyalty?
My folks had Chryslers until they switched to GM. I was 16 by then and not around much. I also bought Chryslers (and leased them to others, too) until the company was acquired by Mercedes Benz.
Finally- GM’s 1964 World Fair Promise May Be Arriving
I know I am going to date myself (not that kind!), but I still recall with wonder the GM exhibit at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. It showed the kind of future I think we all hoped for- and never got. Where did our idealism go? However, that’s not the topic for today.
