A little history today.  Not too far back.

Back around 1900, a new chemical company was forming- Engelhard.  Right about the time industrial chemists were finding out they needed a lot more engineering to scale up and produce the chemicals the world would need.  And, chemical engineering was born about the same time.

Someone’s in the kitchen with Dinah (not)

Some three decades ago, I began commuting from Charlottesville to Washington, DC, in particular to George Washington University. Being a train buff- and with an accommodating schedule- my trips were via the famed Southern Crescent. This glorious train made the round trip between DC and New Orleans.

In the not too distant future. Maybe, tomorrow?

I’m sure you’ve seen the same programs and movies I have. A hacker garners control of a vehicle through its entertainment system (and, thusly the Apple Siri’s or Google Assistant’s AI [artificial intelligence]) and directs it through a maze of streets. I’ve already reported how commercial jets can be commandeered.

Where’s My Health Choice?

OK. Today we are going to think about what we really want.

You know what I mean. We say we want car companies to offer a plethora of vehicles that get a zillion miles to the gallon. We say we want food companies to offer really healthy foods. We say that beverage firms should offer the same.
