Sometimes, you just have to be amazed at the inanity of things our government – and private associations- do. No, I’m not talking about the 6th of January or TheDonald. (Although, those two certainly do eclipse this stupidity.)

CMMC
First, to our friends in France. C'est le jour de la Bastille! Happy Bastille Day!
I have a long-time buddy and a bunch of clients who work for the government (ok, their client/employer is the DOD/NSA) and their only portfolio is cybersecurity.
It’s not just four letter words that are problems. Cyber is a 5 letter one.
I just don’t get it.
Microsoft Exchange Server updates in March- and is exploited for ransomware via backdoors left in the software.

We are dropping the ball
I sometimes (ok, oftentimes) wonder why folks keep letting things fall through the cracks. Sure, I can blame it on the Turtle, who wants no legislation passed, just wrong wing judges appointed. London Bridge is Falling Down…
It’s not very funny. Especially if you live in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. But, here’s the “joke” that I cracked last week. (This post was written on 4 August 2012.) Dominion Power and Pepco are thrilled at the recent events. India proved to the world that these two (Dominion and Pepco) were not the worst utility companies in the world. After all, they only blacked out one region of the US with a million or so residents. India blacked out 18 states and 680 million people.
