Radical Constitutionalist
An experiment of sorts. Today’s blog is below- in video or written formats. Your choice!
I’ve been working on the railroad
I have always loved railroads.
Back when I was really little, my grandparents would post my high chair by the rear window of their co-op. And, I would watch one of the busiest rail yards in America for hours. (No, folks. The Pennsylvania Railroad is long gone.)
Going Postal?
Today is Thank-a-Letter-Carrier-Day.
Geez. I can’t stand these politically correct terms. Why not just thank my postman or my postlady? (When I grew up it was only men; thankfully, the government has grown up and lets any gender bring us our mail.)
We hold these truths to be self-evident…
Our country is changing.
Normally, we would say that change is good. But, the change that is coming over America is anything but. I admit that as a Jewish individual, I may feel this change more prominently than most. Why would that be true?
Look what’s sneaking in…
I found Mitch McConnell’s statement a few years ago that his top political priority was to deny President Obama a second term to be downright reprehensible. The 12th…
On days like today, I miss not living in New York. Because, back when I lived in metropolitan New York, we had two secular holidays in February- Lincoln’s Birthday and Washington’s Birthday. Our 16th and 1st Presidents.
Sabotage!
I’m sure you realize that I will be updating the information on the new tax laws soon. I haven’t decided if I will rewrite the 9 blogs that covered the House and Senate version or just “X” off the parts that didn’t make it to the signed version. (I’m leaning towards the latter- with only two or three posts to cover the individual and business tax provisions.)
No more puffery!
Don’t you just love it when there’s a law that can finally make a difference? Well, put on your seat belts, folks, because we are about to go on a heck of ride!
