The leading cause of death- still- is cardiovascular disease (CVD). And, when CVD is severe, the treatment of choice is a heart transplant. Not surprisingly, these are not always available- so the wait- assuming one gets on the list- can be 6 months, a year, or even longer. In the US that means that 1/6 of those on the list die before ever moving up to #1 on the list.

On days like today, I miss not living in New York. Because, back when I lived in metropolitan New York, we had two secular holidays in February- Lincoln’s Birthday and Washington’s Birthday. Our 16th and 1st Presidents.

Blogiversary
Well, it’s really not today. It’s not even tomorrow, because this incarnation began 1 June 2010. Four years ago- but that was after a less frequent attempt to pen my blog.
Is this BRAND really different?
I am sure this will amaze you as much as it did I. Naproxen- the over the counter drug sold by (almost) everybody and their grandmother- is different from different vendors. Besides being sold as generic Naproxen, it is also sold under various “brand” names- Aleve, Naprelan, Naprosyn, Anaprox, Apronax.
Safe and Effective?
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to deal with FDA (Food and Administration) approvals for a variety of drugs and devices. I admit, sometimes, it did not quite seem to be an ‘opportunity’, but, generally, I was most appreciative of the process.
