It’s been almost 8 weeks that I have hesitated to post my feelings on the 7 October Massacre.. OR to the reaction of most of the world to the Israel-Hamas war.

So, you probably celebrated yesterday as Mother’s Day. My son drove down from Manhattan to celebrate the weekend with his mom and his surrogate mom (his nanny). Oh- and he spent some time with his homebound dad, as well. (We even watched a 12 inning Phillies game together. Which the Phillies worked diligently to lose!!!!!) But, that’s not the point of today’s blog.

I knew Dr. Nathan Levin when he was at Mount Sinai and Beth Israel hospitals in New York. Specifically, the director of their dialysis centers. I had the pleasure of sharing many a dinner (always at an Indian restaurant, until I convinced him that there was a great kosher restaurant we should visit) and his knowledge.

So, it’s Chanuka. Moreover, tomorrow night (Shabat) and the next day (from Friday night through Sunday at dusk) are also another holiday, the new moon (Rosh Chodesh) of Tevet.

Yesterday took my heart away
So, you probably celebrated yesterday as Mother’s Day. I know that the Phillies managed to give away ladies pullovers to those women over the age of 15 who went to the game- despite the rain, and a lengthy delay. (Yes, the Phils won!)
