Many of you wonder if we will see a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 soon. Given the fact that the virus has been genetically mapped and the disease caused by this virus is rampaging across the planet, the odds are likely. Note I didn’t say it would be a fully effective vaccine or that it would be perfectly safe.

Out of the Box Thinking?
We have a growing problem in America. The homeless.
He should have been more famous
It’s curious how life makes our paths twist and turn.
I started out positive that I would spend my entire life developing renal therapy solutions. OK. Not solutions- just one. Who knew I’d be lucky enough to develop a slew of them.
Living Wages- Take 3
So, we’ve talked (this is the 3rd part in the daily series about current economics) about who is funding the US treasury. Mostly workers, which surprised most of you. Mostly the poor and the middle class, which clearly confounded you. (Remember- it’s payroll taxes that provide about 45% of the federal take, and the income taxes of the non-rich provide another 15% of the federal take. The rich (top 10%) provide 30% of the annual federal receipts via income taxes and corporations finish off the totals by contributing about 10%.)
Do you know what lurks?
Three of them. Yup. I have three sponges in my kitchen. One for meat, one for dairy, and one for the counters. Ah, the pleasures of keeping kosher. Do you know how hard it is to find THREE different colored sponges to use?

Mythbuster!
I read a manuscript today and realized that I am guilty of believing in myths. Perhaps, you are guilty of the same crime. Crime, you ask? Yes, it’s a crime when we don’t get paid for the value we provide our clients.
A new roadmap to conquer cancer?
I just lost a friend to cancer. One who was supposedly in remission. Until we found out her “stroke” was a cacophony of tumors in her brain- and the rest of her body. My father succumbed to three different cancers, simultaneously, and relatively quickly.
R-I-S-K (don’t shudder- react!)
Most of you know I live in Metropolitan DC. So, whatever happens in/to/from the Federal government is LOCAL. Like the shutdown- that cost the DC area more than $ 220 million each and every day in business. Since there are some 5 million folks living in the Metropolitan area, that’s $ 50 not spent by every man, woman, and child. OK, that doesn’t sound too bad. But, there are about 225,000 businesses in the area. Which means the average business took a hit $ 1000 a day. That is a significant number if you are a small business- even if you are a large one.
Brrr! Cold problems?
OK. This could be a real problem for me. I am rarely cold. Oh, sure, when I am sick (about once a year, Thanks SB!) I feel it. Otherwise, I only feel the heat. Starting somewhere around 65 F (19C). But, for most folks, being cold is a problem. Maybe, more than they- and we- thought initially.
