We told you this requirement was coming. We sounded the alarm in 2019 and then again in 2021.

7 October
It’s been almost 8 weeks that I have hesitated to post my feelings on the 7 October Massacre.. OR to the reaction of most of the world to the Israel-Hamas war.
Permission Granted
Time to break into my queue. Because in the past 10 days, the United States has been hit at least twice by terrorists. Maybe 3 times.
Stand Up! Now!
It’s not often that I break into my queue. Not because I am rigid- but because there often is not a special reason to say something right NOW.
Fifteen Years…
My 50th birthday. I was flying to New York City. To see a series of Broadway and Off-Broadway plays. And, to pop in to a special event for a youth group with which I was most active when I was young and living in New York. (Little did I know when I was a member that the organization was born the same day I was, too!) Getting to spend a little more than 4 days enjoying this milestone birthday.
Truth, Justice, and the American Way?
I remember being assigned to read ‘The Jungle’ by Upton Sinclair and ‘Elmer Gantry’ by Sinclair Lewis way back in what is now called middle school. Admittedly, I often confused the two writers’ names, but I enjoyed the two books immensely. And, learned that our commerical (and religious) industries still need a lot of work. (That still hasn’t changed all that much in half a century, either.)
You’ve got to be carefully taught
(I know I said today’s post would be the third in a four part series about cholesterol. But, I must interject this reaction. The series will continue tomorrow.)
Caveat Emptor- or is that Cavete Volanti?
I debated writing this piece. But, I realized me not telling you would serve no purpose whatsoever. Because those that can already know they can. And, if you don’t know they can, then you are at risk. What am I talking about? Hacking an airplane that is flying our skies.
The Ides of April (give or take)
This year provides an unusual confluence of events.
150 years ago, this past Thursday, General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses P. Grant. Which meant that the Civil War, the war between the North and the South, the war between factions in America was “officially” over. But, like our Battle for Independence, the war went on for at least a few more months. There wasn’t instant communication back then- but. more importantly, to my mind, the war is still ongoing.
Zealotry
Those of you who know me will recognize that this is pretty normal for me to discuss. For those of you who only know me from reading my blog, this will seem way out of the ordinary. And, it is- but events demand folks take action, consider their (and other’s) actions, and try to stop this craziness. And, I’m breaking into my queue to publish this NOW.
