Those of you who have visited my home (for Shabat dinner? for a holiday party?) or just read my blog routinely know that I LOVE art.  My home is replete with paintings, drawings, sculptures, and crafts.  Dali, Max, Erte, Agam, Egbi, Imber are among the many different artist’s compositions hanging on my walls, in cabinets, or on the floor.

Tomorrow Night… What a night!

Saturday night starts a great holiday for me-  Purim. (Purim means “Lots”- as in the lottery.  But, it was only after a few twists and turns that we managed to eke out a win with this lottery.)  My family tradition adds on a second day-  Shushan Purim, the name for the second day; most Ashkenazi Jews rarely celebrate it- for them, it’s a one day holiday.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…

So, I was driving home from a business trip and got caught in a snow squall.  Which, except for a very brief flurry session (which left my trees covered in white- but the streets and sidewalks clean as a whistle), it had been the only snow I’ve seen this winter.  (Our temperatures have actually been in the 60s and 70s- in February and now also in March!)
