Triskaidekaphobia
You know, I don’t have the ridiculous fear of the number 13. Not that I have no fears- I’ve got plenty of my own irrational fears. But, not of the number 13.
Tzedaka
So, I know y’all are used to getting bombarded with donation requests from Thanksgiving to Christmas. But, given the fact that my religion celebrates the New Year (Rosh Hashana) in September, this is when my mailbox overflows with solicitations.
Not a Sweet 16 at all
I know we have a President who lacks context. But, its pretty clear the rest of our elected officials are also oblivious.
I’ve earned my grey hair!
Yes, my birthday is 9/9. Tomorrow. The 9th day of the 9th month- at least that’s what it is in the secular calendar. And, tomorrow is also the anniversary of my Bar Mitzva. That’s not happened before.

Box it up?
When my first daughter was born, everyone was panicked about SIDS. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Oh, the police tried to pin the deaths of loved infants on the parents, since it was all a mystery. But, with time, we learned about this insidious problem.
