I had to interrupt my queue for this piece of information.  To make sure America gets to see what is really going on before the next primary.

Today, 31 May, the Wall Street Journal, published a map and a list of the 10 biggest zip codes that seem be supporting both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Most of you don’t know that I possess a bizarre memory.  For years, I was able to discern a geographic location from a zip code.  (I used to be able to do the same with zip codes, until the phone companies decided that we needed more area codes than zip codes.   And, added new ones without any rhyme, reason, or pattern, which changed the whole system that had obtained for decades.)]

When I saw the list, I went ballistic.  I really am tired of dealing with the stupidity that corporations are people.  Because I have yet to see Texas hang a corporation.  Unless and until that happens, let us remember that corporations are fictitious entities that are supposed to serve a business purpose.

That rule seemed to obtain until the Supreme Court made its inane decision in the Citizens United case.   And, given the fact that it takes the Federal Elections Commission several years to examine who or what is cheating in an election, this case has made it possible for individuals to skirt the law, create fake entities that shield the names of the contributors, exceed (often) the contribution limits, and serve to buy elections- despite the fact that it is truly individuals’ votes that are supposed to choose our elected leaders.

So, why did I go ballistic?   I recognized at least seven of the zip codes to NOT be geographic locations in the US.  Instead, they were zip codes assigned to US Postal Service box numbers.  Where companies set up shop to hide where they are, who they are, and what they do.

And, Hillary has managed to accumulate- just from the top 10 zip codes-  $ 9 million in the time frame January 2015 through April 2016.  And, of those zip codes, only 3 are for actual addresses.  And, the amount contributed through hidden contributions (and hidden zip codes) is actually 77% of the total.

But, let’s not forget the Donald.  And, you can tell he has not been soliciting donations to help his campaign.  The total accumulation for his top 10 zip codes (same time frame) was a considerably less haul than Hillary’s- a total of $ 135K.  No, that’s not a typo.   And, I’m guessing the donations from those 6 zip codes  that are PO Boxes (and probably all ten) were from one donor for each zip code, because the biggest haul was $ 15,100 and the total for the seven was $ 61,215.

I feel like we are at an auction.  And, we are selling our government.  Between the donations and the lobbyists…
