Given the fact that I have a full queue (thankfully!), you might have thought I wasn’t appreciative that Jeffrey Scott nominated me as a creative blogger a while ago.  No,  this was the first spot I could insert my response that would not upset the applecart (or is that the Leaning Tower of Pisa?) that describes my blog queue.

Given that this award is meant to perpetuate blogger contributions, it comes with a few conditions.

I’ve covered the first- thanking Jeffrey and linking to his blog.  (Something I have done often- because some of his rants render it impossible to stay in one’s chair and not fall off laughing!)

Then, I’m supposed to bare all.  OK- don’t run for the hills, I’m keeping my clothes on.  Just sharing five facts about myself.

1. I am a chemical engineer.  Or, maybe I’m a business executive.  Or, maybe a health care researcher.  Or, maybe a water reuse specialist.  Or, maybe a father to some wonderful kids (and a grandpa, too).  Or maybe all those- and more.
2. I am amazed at how lucky I really have been to do a slew of things that many have desired to essay and never achieved. Of course, I’ve had plenty of things happen that one wouldn’t want- plane wrecks, car wrecks, accidents, broken bones, etc.  But, in the grand scheme of things, I’m still here and still doing some amazing things.   Thank you, Supreme Being for these opportunities.
3. After never drinking a drop of alcohol in my life, my business partner ensured that I would become a devotee of wine. And, I truly enjoy that addition to my life.
4. As a chemical engineer who no longer has a fully-equipped laboratory at his beck and call, I have fallen back on my kitchen. Where I love to concoct new recipes to entertain my guests- and with whom I share wonderful Shabatot (and my meals) every week.
5. My favorite junk foods- Good and Fruity (darn you, Nestle, for keeping them hidden from us. I liked it when Leaf was the master of this item), Chocolate Twizzlers, popcorn (from real kernels, thank you), and jelly beans.

Now, the last requirement.   To sucker 10 of you into doing exactly the same thing.  So, this creative blogger award may be considered more of a chore than a benefit.   Too bad.  You’re nominated!
