Pricing is an Art

So, I’m going to try something new.  After all, today IS the first business day of 2017.

Many of you have read (maybe even downloaded) my (now dated) paper about pricing.  Or, you might have gone to our website to request the 2012 revision.

Well, I’ve updated the concept a little more.  And, produced a (no audio) video presentation.  For you- right here.

I hope you enjoy it.

  1. I’m not a business owner. My Dad was (before I was born) and my grandfather were both small businessowners. Pricing makes or breaks a business ,and it is so hard to know if you are under or overcharging. Although, one comment – pricing on wine is an interesting process – some of it depends on the country the wine comes from, and, while cheap wine is cheap, expensive wine isn’t always the best choice, either.

    1. Now, that was a fantastic example, Alana. Because there are several key facts when it comes to wine. We- the common folks, the ones that are not perceived as wine experts- derive the same quality connotations as the experts. And, then, there’s the perceived value- which means we pay may for this wine over that wine. Just like the perceived value in our services…
      Thanks for that great example!
