These changes coming to our accounting practices were proposed so long ago, I actually forgot about them. Of course, if your business is small enough to keep using cash accounting practices, the new requirements will just roll off your back.

How much is that?
College tuition. OK. Breathe… Yes, it’s high- very high. It amazes me that the highest tuition in the land is to be found at a STATE university. When I was going to college – back before we were a free nation- you could bank on two things. State schools were cheap. State schools were easier to get into.
Catching some Z’s?
About 1/6 of us feel that we do not get sufficient sleep. Now, that’s the data- and I can’t figure out quite how that was derived- but it seems that someone told the subjects they needed 8 hours of sleep- which predicated that answer.
What happens when you choose the wrong study upon which you base your actions…
Big data. Correlation vs. causation. Most people think that it’s imperative that we harness big data to find any correlations that exist. Without once determining what the theory is that could substantiate the correlation. (If you check back to my 19 April post, you will find the references to determine what is wrong with this concept.)

Education- or Job Training?
With college tuition skyrocketing, it’s not surprising that kids are graduating from college owing a fortune. And, many of these loans were guaranteed by their parents- which is one of the reason why so many folks in their late 50s and early 60s are saddled with unpaid college debt.
You can’t make this up!
