This is a fun study. First, let’s talk about the two folks who performed this research. A husband and wife. Who like to visit restaurants. And, wanted to know whether a change in the minimum wage really does cause restaurants to close.

I often work with companies helping them develop- and introduce- new products. There’s a litany of zany ideas- at least that’s what they were called when we first introduced them.

Are you trying to make things worse?
Three really bad things can happen to you when you file your tax return late. Before you jump up and down, please remember that if you file before the expiration of any extension you requested, you aren’t filing late. (But, you also need to know that filing an extension does not mean you have an extension to pay your taxes- they are still due on the original filing date for taxes; the 15th of March (business) or 15 April (individuals.) I am really discussing the situations when you elect to file your taxes a year late, a few year’s late….
Should you? Or shouldn’t you?
Your new product is ready- but, you don’t have enough money to bring it to market. Do you search for angels? venture capital? crowdsource? That last choice is the new one, the one made possible by the Jobs Act (reported here), where you convince folks (typically LOTS of folks) to provide you with a small amount of money (each, but it should be lots in total). Typically, those folks want something in return. There are internet sites that makes crowdsourcing all possible. Kickstarter, Indiegogo, AngelList are three such sites.
It’s moving along…Obamacare, that is.
With all the hoopla about Obamacare (PPACA is its real acronym), one would think that it would be a total failure. But, even as a certain party keeps sniping at it, cutting funding, it’s making a difference in our health care.
