What does the electric vehicle mandate mean for truckers?

It’s begun.   The California mandate (Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation, approved on 28 April 2023 by the California Air Resources Board) to only purchase tractors (the kind that haul trailers) that are powered by hydrogen or electricity.  The problem is that there are insufficient charging stations for these tractors (let alone a dearth of hydrogen fuel supply sites).

When we started our dialysis company, we knew we were going to battle against some of the largest companies in the world.  And, we were – if we were lucky- awfully teeny.  But, we knew we had the absolute best product (yes, we were shy and retiring back then, too)- and we did our homework and knew how the marketplace operated.

Keep on Truckin? Nope, not any more…

Many of you know I used to own a trucking corporation.  It was a captive- in other words, we used our authority (trucking registration) to haul our own products and raw materials.  We operated up and down the East and West Coasts, and radiated out to and from the Midwest.
