This GM strike is just like US politics– deadlocked. There’s bad positioning- coupled with the lack of honesty in explaining why that position was taken in the first place.

The Show Must Go On? Nope.
I remember how excited I was back in 1964. Finally, there would be a World’s Fair near me. (Seattle was just too far and too much money for me in 1962.) I’m pretty sure I relished the site at least a dozen times. And, not just for those new snacks- Belgian Waffles. No, the GE exhibit (despite the fact that Ronald Reagan had gone to the VERY dark side [Goldwater!!!]), Walt Disney (It’s a Small World After All), the various countries, and the ATT, Ford and GM exhibits.

Too Pricey For Me?
Obsolete Business Models?
So, we talked yesterday about driverless trucks and planes. And, while I doubt we’ll be getting driverless cars soon, I am sure that we will benefit from a slew of driver assist components that are part and parcel of this new concept.
Change
Change. We generally don’t like it.
Consider Twitter. Right now, Jack Dorsey has rearranged (OK. replaced) most of the executives in his firm. Of course, Twitter is being blamed for not growing new users. Even though it’s revenue is up- by 48%, I might add.
Brand Loyalty?
My folks had Chryslers until they switched to GM. I was 16 by then and not around much. I also bought Chryslers (and leased them to others, too) until the company was acquired by Mercedes Benz.
