Do as I say, not as I do…

I know we consider that backwards.  But, that’s my reaction to too many of these “environmental” do good networks.  They often have sophomoric ideas about what we need to do to make the world a better place.  (I should announce that I am all for minimizing our environmental footprint- from water reuse to climate change.)

It’s time. The calendar says so.

Today is the first day of the secular new year of 2018.  Which means you probably are making sure you keep your brand-spanking-new New Year’s Resolutions.    (I make my personal resolutions in September/October, when the Jewish New Year rolls around.  And, my corporate KPI [key performance indicators] are evaluated three or four times a year to make sure we’re measuring (and achieving) the right things.)

It’s a Wrap- NOT!

Oh, the memories. OK. The nightmares.

I remember when my kids were growing up, the local schools required (yes, that is the operative verb to employ) my children learn mercantile skills. They had to sell chocolates or wrapping paper to raise money for school needs. To be honest, I didn’t mind the chocolate so much- but the wrapping paper was not my cup of tea.
