I’ve had a slew of folks argue with me that their business has no office but the one in their home.  If their business is unincorporated (and if your net income is $ 25K or higher- shame on you for being unincorporated) or a disregarded LLC, I agree that they have the ability to claim part of their home’s expenses for business purposes, using Form 8829.

A 3D Update, Part 2

Yesterday, in part 1 (of this 5+ part update), I reviewed how new software and printers will make 3D printing available at home and in the office.  Places like Staples will make it possible for more complicated designs to be produced, as well.  Which means it’s time to sit back, grab a glass of wine (or two or three) and consider what all this technology is going to do to our companies.

Yes, you are a professional- but are you MY professional?

There’s an old joke about which professions make the worst business managers and leaders. I won’t bother to say which one it is, though… But, if you are a professional (lawyer, doctor, accountant), then you know that joke (fact).  And, you know you need to make your business stronger and more profitable.
