Pop goes the weasel?

And the data keeps piling on.

Two years ago, I shared the data that pop is simply something we shouldn’t include in our- and especially our kids’ diets.  Yes, I know- up until two decades ago, I was imbibing gallons of pop each and every day. (At least 6 liters of Diet Coke and about 24 ounces of Chocolate Cherry pop.) But, I stopped- cold turkey. (So should you!)

Where’s My Health Choice?

OK. Today we are going to think about what we really want.

You know what I mean. We say we want car companies to offer a plethora of vehicles that get a zillion miles to the gallon. We say we want food companies to offer really healthy foods. We say that beverage firms should offer the same.

Impulse buy?

I always am amazed at the plethora of junk at the CVS checkout counter. (Yes, Rite-Aid and Walgreens also have the same gazillion candy bars and gums.) Not so much at the grocery store anymore. Oh, there’s the occasional National Enquirer, soda pop, and a few candy bars, but not as many or as wide a choice as before. This doesn’t include the fact that more and more folks are getting their groceries delivered (and don’t set foot into the store itself).

Will this Pop pop?

I admit it. I used to be a Coke junkie. Oh, that’s not true. I was a Diet Coke junkie. 24 bottles minimum- until they came out with 2 liter bottles , and then it was 3, 4, or 5 of them each and every day of the year. (Th is routine was supplemented by 6 cans of Diet Cherry Chocolate pop- for my dinner dessert.)
