So, today is somewhat of a special day. But, before you will understand why it’s special, I need to give you a little background.

Having lived in Charlottesville for more than a decade (and Ann Arbor and Cambridge before that), I had become used to not donning a suit or sport jacket when going to shul (synagogue). As a matter of fact, in Charlottesville, where about 1/3 of the congregants were native Israeli’s going to UVA, many folks going to shul didn’t even wear “nice clothes”- jeans (not torn, of course) and slacks for women were de rigeur.
A 3D Update, Part 2
Yesterday, in part 1 (of this 5+ part update), I reviewed how new software and printers will make 3D printing available at home and in the office. Places like Staples will make it possible for more complicated designs to be produced, as well. Which means it’s time to sit back, grab a glass of wine (or two or three) and consider what all this technology is going to do to our companies.
Broken Bat?
Go, Phils! (I know, we are not doing well- but I still support them. With a 2+ hour drive – each way- as a season ticket holder. I even got back last night at 2 AM- and was at a meeting by 5:20 AM this morning.) I’ve been a Phanatic since I was 12. When Jim Bunning pitched a perfect game on Father’s Day. But, I’m not writing about the Phils, per se…
No work?
I was reading some ideas from a law blog recently as to what these lawyers were doing now that a lot of their clients are disappearing. Some of these losses were attributed to the downturn in the economy, others to the retirement of their rainmakers, and others gave (or had) no clue as to the reasons. But, I did find some great ideas I thought I’d pass on- because these work for more than just lawyers. More importantly- they are the things we all should be doing…OFTEN!
Infinite storage capacity?
We all think we forget things. But, what if we are thinking incorrectly? What if we never forget anything we learned- we just don’t know how to retrieve it- now or quickly?
