Wowee!

I and a  friend elected to try out a new restaurant.  Eating outside of course, because both of us are too scared of the delta version of SARS-CoV-2 to eat indoors, where we may fall prey.   After all, this was my first outing after some 9 months of dealing with my affliction,  I am almost able to hobble a few steps, and I have no desire to be on my back again.

Food, Glorious Food

I just finished a tour of Berlin and Athens.  I traveled with a friend and his 11-year-old daughter.  Which reminded me how intriguing it was when that was the age of my children (ranging back from more than 15 years to more than 30 years ago). And, over the next few days (probably interspersed with other topics), I will share my observations, along with pictures.

‘Twas the day after Christmas….

With the cuts among the labor pool, we all feel overworked and under the gun.  Because the “lean” organizational structure that companies have been adopting (which really means overworking most of their operational staff)- with the concomitant resistance to augment the pay scales- means that the remaining staff are always in a rush.  So, when it’s lunch or snack time, we grab for pop, candy, and other junk food.  Or, maybe a few of those “nutrition bars” along with our pop- when we only have 10 minutes for our lunch breaks at work.

The Supreme Court Decisions- and Restaurants

Friday,(link here) I discussed a slew of SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) decisions afforded us by the Roberts’ Court- the most pro-business (read “Big Business”) Supreme Court ever.  Well, here is a case they just decided, that small businesses can overturn without going to court- by using public opinion against one specific Big Business.
