The bill is going to pass but the 1099K amendment proposed by Senators Bill Hagerty (TN, R) and Joe Manchin (WV, D) has failed. But, the IRS has granted a 1 year reprieve, so it won't be 2023 taxes are filed that this provision will kick in.

No escape
I have been diligent at making sure that my phone never has location services activated. Because I do not agree to let those app developers harvest and sell my data. It’s pretty annoying that many of them- without my express permission- feel obliged to activate my location services, even if I am not using their app.
Bought and Paid For?
So, you voted yesterday. (You DID vote, right???) We might learn the results in Georgia (assuming Kemp doesn’t stifle more legal votes), Mississippi, Arizona, Connecticut, and Montana sometime this week. But, we have learned how much money has played a part in this election.
Back Door Man…
I’m sure you’ve heard that the Senate version of the (creatively named) Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is now going to attack PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act), affectionately (sic) known as Obamacare. But, if you don’t truly understand the intracacies of the bill, it will be difficult to discern how NOT collecting the tax penalty on those who don’t enroll in a health care plan can be used to reduce the deficit incurred by the behemoth of a bill. (Sorry for all those negatives- but that’s the true concept.)

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow. The next day? Hmm
Voting counts. Not just tomorrow (don’t tell me you are not voting!), but every election.
Now, tomorrow, we choose a President, a few Senators, and every Congressperson. That will set how the Federal Government will run for the next two to four years. Pretty important.

Everybody’s talking ’bout it…
“Everyone talks about the weather and nobody does anything about it.” If you are old enough, you remember this expression. No, we weren’t expecting some evil genius to change our weather. (Oh, wait, polluting companies have effected climate change. But, I digress…) However, that is exactly our issue now- everyone is talking about the fact that our Congress is not talking to one another. This side says “the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain”, while the other responds “It takes two to tango”. Sentient beings hit their foreheads in wonder how adults can behave in such fashion…
