Right after the Iron Curtain fell, I found myself attending another annual international medical conference, this time in Vienna. (I won’t bother going into how ‘well’ the Viennese treated me- NOT.)
Bury the lead?
The trick to burying the news is to release it on a holiday or later in the afternoon on a Friday. So, what better day should TheDonald pick to release a long-awaited report discussing how America (and the world) is failing to tame the climate change issues than on the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving?

OK. I am going to show my age. Not that I shy from it- I’ve earned the stripes I own. But, back when I was younger, I had to lie and say I was older. So that folks would take me seriously. (Yes, I passed for 18, 21, and 30 long before people faked ID’s to get a drink of booze- for business reasons.)

I was talking with my friend the other day on the phone. And, since he called me, I had to hit the mute button on my sound system. (I was doing work, which meant I had a few TV’s blaring- plus the radio.) When I do that, the “screensaver” comes on the TV and news headlines stream.
