Russia and Ukraine…An update

No Gravatar

We haven’t discussed the situation in the Ukraine for a while.

But, I’m sure you know that Russia is perpetrating a slew of war crimes almost every day.  They send in drones and bombs to attack civilian targets- in particular- power plants, electric grids, water supply systems and the like.

49, 50!

We’ve been counting the days since the Pesach (Passover) Seder.   50 days after we were freed from Egypt (Mitzrayim- a place of narrow straits);  we have been  anticipating a major event at the foot of Mount Sinai.   (Sorry- Mount Sinai is really NOT found within the “Sinai Peninsula”, more likely it’s part of Saudi Arabia, near an active volcano.)  We were asked if we would accept the laws of the Supreme Being- to which our reply was “we will do and we will adhere”.  Obviously, that was easier said than performed, because we’ve often failed to follow the 613 mitzvot- and some of us even fail the 10 Commandments.

This is a continuation of our discussion of the final versions of the House and Senate Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (sic) bill. Those are now the law of the land, PL 115-97.

Sh’vuot- the Feast of Weeks.

48, 49, 50!

We’ve been counting our days since the Pesach (Passover) Seder.   50 days after we were freed from Egypt (Mitzrayim- a place of narrow straits), we were waiting by Mount Sinai (sorry- NOT in the “Sinai Peninsula”, more likely in Saudi Arabia, near an active volcano), to receive the 10 Commandments. Where the words were seen- yes, seen. I admit, until I saw the effects of a rocket plant explosion in Henderson, Nevada, I had no idea you really could see “sound”.  Not surprising that those in attendance were totally awed…

This Hack Will Cost Consumers Big

No Gravatar

Uh-oh. We thought it was bad enough that criminals could hack into our cars and planes. We knew that these computers we love to play while we drive or fly had downsides. But, we forgot to account for the fact that our car alarms and ignition devices are also controlled by these electronic units.

It’s time. No excuses.

Here’s a contrarian view to what so many politicians want you to believe.  We must provide a social safety net for the poor.  We must find a way to educate parents – and to find a means to let them have enough time- in between their two and three shifts of (part-time work)- to spend “quality time” with their kids.   We must fund early childhood education.

We’ve gotten it…The Tora!

We’ve been counting since the Pesach (Passover) Seder.   50 days after we were freed from Egypt (Mitzrayim- a place of narrow straits), we were waiting by Mount Sinai to receive the Tora.   Sorry, folks, this was more likely NOT in the “Sinai Peninsula”, but found in Saudi Arabia, near an active volcano. As I wrote yesterday, we saw AND heard the words of the Supreme Being (you can get the idea by studying this rocket plant explosion in Henderson, Nevada).
