As the pandemic wave continued, more and more articles (both popular and scientific) were expounding that our lives need to experience awe; it helps us improve our well-being. Experiencing awe (something extraordinary) renders our worries much smaller.
Becoming less attuned to ourselves and paying more attention to the world around us, helps us “reframe” our existence. It allows us to become more curious, more creative, maybe even more compassionate. (That last attribute is something that most of us have lost during the pandemic era.)

Water from the Air
I’ve been seeking all sorts of ways to make sure folks around the world don’t run out of water. It’s not just the 7 Western States that are in trouble, it’s Africa, it’s Asia- it’s basically everywhere.
Supply Issues
As we worry about supply chains- computer chips, fuel supplies, even baby formula, we seem to have forgotten about the real basic problem.
Remote Control?
Way back in time. Yeah…all of 20 years. Right after 9/11, America knew it had to ‘harden’ its infrastructure. Water supplies, natural gas, power grids- all of them were easily susceptible to terrorist attacks. Except, that was all talk and virtually no action.
Pulling it out from thin air?

No water?????
Ivory, Crest, Tide, Olay, Mr. Clean, Pampers.
You recognize those names. But, do you recognize the corporate power behind them? It’s Proctor & Gamble Co. (P&G)
And not a drop to drink
Do you remember when Gary Southern and Carl Kennedy poisoned the waters of West Virginia? Their “Freedom Industries” chemical plant dumped toxic compounds into the rivers where folks obtained their drinking water. Were they punished? Not yet- and it’s been 5 years.
School Daze
It’s not much. But, we expect that the water we drink be safe.
Oh, I know- many of you have given up on that. You carry plastic bottles of water. Because you fear the quality of the water being provided.
Walk On Water?
The other day I was telling a joke that I learned some 6 decades ago. It was told to me by my neighbor. And, I realized that joke resonated with me because it explains why and how we provide our services.
It’s what we do, not what we say
You know how I feel about corporations and their commitment to shareholders, employees, and communities. Well, this is a warning how one company that’s been trying to do all the right things may be subject to a plundering.
