The 10th Day of Tishrei.   No, not today- that’s tomorrow’s date.  And, you say- so what?

Maybe if I said it was Yom Kipur tomorrow, you’d understand the significance.  Because that is exactly what tomorrow is.  The end of 40 days of introspection, repentance, and preparing ourselves to be better humans and to make the world a better place- with renewed vigor.

Another holiday? Yup!

Today is another holiday.  This one is really a festival.  One we get to celebrate without being in synagogue all day.  But by the end of next week, I’ll have taken off a total of  6 whole days (Yom Kipur was on a Saturday) and three half days for the Jewish Holidays in September- plus the secular Labor Day.  Recognizing that there also were 9 weekend days, you can see that means only 12 working days this whole month .

A ‘0’ birthday… It would have been cooler if it were tomorrow…

A big birthday for my daughter. The second to youngest- but still has 8 years on her brother.

This past year, she and her significant other traveled across the globe. To see what they could see. Leaving about a month past her last birthday.
